Druk was a magazine about design, typography and other hip issues, published by FontShop Benelux and edited by Jan Middendorp.
The series started in 1999 with issue 0 and stopped after issue 13 in 2002.

For the later issues of Druk the typography sections were partially generated by a program. On one side it would feed on large chunks of text. On the other side it would feed on fonts and their metrics. Then it proceeded to find the right sentences for the needed font and appropriate size.
Shown here are two specimens for FB Stainless and FF Parable, which were featured in issue 13. Parts of the program made a reappearance in the FontFont Fiffteen exhibition flags.
